The dip is not lunch
The afternoon slump is circadian, not digestive. It arrives on schedule whether or not you ate, and it degrades complex thinking by the same magnitude as mild sleep deprivation.
It is also not a personal failing — the trough is endogenous biology, shared by everyone, shifted only by chronotype.
Stop fighting it with caffeine and guilt. Put the admin there.
